Goa is the latest in the list of VenkatPrabhu's movies but its bigger in scope and budget than other of his movies. First things first.. the movie is breathtakingly bad. Venkatprabhu did a decent job in his chennai 28 and went on to ape Judgement night in his saroja which was passable but Goa.. omg.. the worst movie of the lot.. from the onset the movie has no direction and the second half is totally absurd with little or no connections between the sequences whatsoever..

For all people who think Venkat Prabhu is going to give a movie like an American pie or hangover.. sorry lads.. that's not the case with goa.. the screenplay is totally flawed and most of the characters look straight of the comic book.. Sampath as gay.. eh..? its good that Tamil directors are in fact opening to new ideas.. but picturisation is highly boring to say the least.. the movie is yet another cliched story of three youngsters learning about the life hard way around by traveling to a dream holiday.. slightly like a euro trip or a sex drive genre.. but nonetheless with lots of so called commercial elements which implies utter frustration to everybody.. and Premji.? does he ever look his mannerisms.. should we consider those as slapstick and his lines as comedy.. omg.. sorry.. the whole movie is totally dumb and only some respite is provided by sneha who has tried something different from her regular next door things..pia and melanie are horrible and we just hope that pia does act before she moves from channel to channel promoting the movie.. In the actor front.. only Vaibhav is passable and the way Jai speaks his dialogues are utter torture to the spectators..
conclusion : the film is excruciatingly bad and is not worth the hype a bit.. 3.5 /10

Vettaikaran new latest movie review
Vettaikaran has been the talk of the town lately. After a string of defeats people were expecting a blockbuster from Vijay and as soon as sun pictures entered the scene, the hype was very high. Now after seeing the movie if one asks a question. Has the movie lived up to its hype? the answer is a strong 'NO'.
The film is yet another rehash of the crappy masala and bgrade action films that Vijay has done in the past. Its very sad that Vijay, who seems to work so hard is still sticking to the same formula irrespective of them bombing in the box office. In this film too Vijay has totally replicated the style of superstar Rajinikanth in many places and its very evident in lot of scenes. His role is also of that of an autorikshaw driver which gives him an awesome stage to show his heroic styles ( copied from superstar) and slew of punch dialogues all through the film.
The story is the one for ages. A good man destroying all the goondas and villians of the city once his kin ( in this case Vijay's guru, a policeman ) is attacked by them. To give due credit the movie, the first half is watchable and Vijay Antony has done a decent job in both bgm and songs but the second half is where the torture begins. Lots of fights, unnecessary punch dialogues, big development in a single song, you name it, you get it. Its such a boredome and rehash of all the cliched sequences and finally the hero (as expected by Vijay fans) wins over the villian.
And hey the credits must go to Anushka too for doing a role just for the name of the banner and hero with little or no substance in it.
No offence meant but this film is strictly only for the Vijay maniacs ( and there are lots out there ) and not for the normal people . If you cant watch Vijay's antics in kuruvi and his over the top scenes in villu then most probably you wont like this film too. Maybe we can watch it when its screened on Sun Tv for some festival that too for Anushka's skin show.
Verdict: Dont try this movie if you are not a die hard Vijay fan. You wil be terribly disappointed.

The prosthetic process was arduous. Around eight pieces of specially-crafted clay
models were meticulously stuck on to the face. Once the process started, it was
impossible to move even a few centimetres. Eating and drinking had to be avoided
and he couldn?t talk because it would have displaced the pieces. The entire process
took four-five hours every day over 45 days of continuous shooting. He was even
willing to go through the process of showing his eyeballs bulging out to give a more
authentic look to the character, but doctors said that would require injections in
his eye every two hours which could affect his vision.
